From Český Krumlov we will head to Telč, a fairy tale town situated in the Moravia. The town center has been inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List in 1992 and it represents a great architectural jewel. The history of this laid-back town dates to the 12th century but after the big fire, which hit the town in the 16th century, the whole city centre had to be renovated again. And so, a Telč Château and beautiful renaissance and baroque houses with arcades and richly decorated gables has been built at the main square.
Transfer to UNESCO town Třebíč, tour in Třebíč Jewish Quarter and the Basilica which are an example of the close co-existence of Christian and Jewish culture in Třebíč from the Middle Ages until the 20th century. The Basilica of St. Procopius was originally built as a part of the Benedictine monastery in the early 13th century and it was influenced by the Western European ideas in its construction.

DAY 5: MEDIWAL TOWN KUTNÁ HORA AND THE PILGRIMAGE CHURCH OF SAINT JOHN OF NEPOMUK
Our first destination on fifth day will be another UNESCO Wolrd Heritage site – the Pilgrimage Church of Saint John of Nepomuk on the Zelená Hora. It is another Moravian jewel. The church was constructed in honour of St. John of Nepomuk, the Czech martyr who was drowned in the Vltava river because he refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional.
From there we will continue to another UNESCO jewel of Czechia – Kutná Hora. During our visit we will firstly visit The Sedlec Ossuary which is truly a unique and impressive bone church. The Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and St John the Baptist in Sedlec is another place to visit in Sedlec. Its construction began in 1290 and it combines the French Gothic architecture with German elements.
And we will leave the best for the end: The Cathedral of St. Barbara – the symbol of Kutná Hora and the jewel of the Late Gothic. "
I was the only person on the tour and Filip was my guide. He went out of his way to ensure that I had a really wonderful experience. We visited all the scheduled sites as well as giving me an insight into the extraordinary history of Czech on the way. He was punctual, friendly and very informative. Despite the wet weather I had the best time.

Really good overview of Czech sights and history
Really good overview of Czech sights and history, the locations to stop in were well chosen. Fillip was an excellent guide with a very good grasp of both Czech history and where it fit into wider European history. Also willing to take you a little off programme to see other areas of interest

We were fortunate to book the Christmas tour with glass blowing experience and have Marek as our guide. He is a well-travelled and very knowledgeable guide about his country. The tour itself was magical, so interesting and a great way to see something outside the city of Prague. I would highly recommend Marek and his company - we would not hesitate to get in touch with him should we return to the Czech Republic.
